Growing your own fertilizer is important in many aspects and in many areas. One that I focus at is on biofuel, where the issue of fertilizer is many times forgotten. We can’t say that we replace fossil fuels with biofuel if we still use chemical fertilizers that are mainly from fossil sources. So I have included subjects on this on my site about alternative fuel sources http://www.best-alternative-fuel-sources.com/green-manure.html If anyone has comments or ideas on this matter I happy to hear them!

@organicgardening987 The grape vines we have are one year old and grapes usually start producing in their third year. That second year is when the roots are getting established and when you start to train it to a trellis system.

I planted 3 vines. They had been grafted. I got fruit the second year from all three. One a few bunches, one a couple pounds and the other a big bucket full. So it all depends.
